Om Sri Ganeshaya Namah! Hail Lord Ganesh!
Ganesh is a popular and much beloved Hindu god who has been assimilated into Buddhism. He is the god of wisdom. He clears away all obstacles of any nature. He is often invoked at the beginning of an endeavor to ask for his blessings, to clear the way for grace to step in, and to assure success.
This is an outstanding brass bell with Sri Ganeshji standing at the top. His four arms symbolize his power to assist people and to destroy evil. His hands hold different symbols including the mace to destroy evil and the noose to draw close those he loves most dearly and to reach out to encircle those who have gotten lost.
The bell is 7 1/4 inches tall (including Ganesh who is about 2 1/2 inches tall. It is on a 18 inch chain with a hook at the top for hanging.
In India, one always finds a bell at the entrance to a temple or holy place. When a devotee rings the bell on entering, they are letting the deity of that place know that they have arrived to ask for blessings.
What a fabulous bell to hang at the entrance to a space which is sacred to you, or anywhere in your home, to attract the benevolent blessings and good luck of Lord Ganesh, remover of obstacles.
