Shakyamuni Buddha Prayer Wheel
A Buddha is a fully awakened being. Shakyamuni Buddha guided seekers to develop meditative awareness and cease all negative emotions and actions that bind one to suffering.
This 10 3/4 inch long copper prayer wheel has raised images of the Buddha encircling it. It has faux coral beads on the top.
Tibetan prayer wheels contain a rolled up scroll printed with prayers, the most common being Om Mani Padme Hum. A prayer wheel can easily contain forty thousand mantras, and so, a few minutes of turning the prayer wheel will repeat the mantra millions of times. The act of spinning the wheel (in a clockwise direction so the mantra will pass before your eyes in the direction you would be reading it) brings merit and blessings. These blessings radiate out into the environment, filling the world and the heavens with sacred invocations and blessings for the benefit of all.
