This prayer wheel pendant has the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum circling around the outside.
Om Mani Padme Hum, meaning the Jewel Within the Lotus, is the mantra of Avalokiteshvara, the embodiment of universal compassion. It is said to contain the entire path to enlightenment within it's syllables. The mantra helps the one who repeats it to achieve a deeper connection with their own divine consciousness.
Tibetan Prayer wheels contain a rolled up scroll printed with prayers, the most common being Om Mani Padme Hum. A prayer wheel can easily contain forty thousand mantras, and so, a few minutes of turning the prayer wheel will repeat the mantras millions of times. The act of spinning the wheel brings merit and blessings. These blessings radiate into the environment. The perpetual turning of prayer wheels is believed to fill the world and the heavens with sacred invocations and blessings for the benefit of all.
The silver and coral pendant is 1 1/4 inches long. It has a small garnet bead attached. It really does spin!
When you wear this unique pendant, you are spreading the blessings of the mantra around you everywhere you go!
