Tibetan Ghanta Bell
Two of the most common symbols associated with Tibetan Buddhism are the bell (ghanta) and the dorje, the thunderbolt. These implements are used in almost every Tantric ritual to represent the union of wisdom and compassion. The bell represents the feminine, or wisdom and the dorje the masculine, or compassion.
The bell is also the symbol of the truth of emptiness. The ringing of the bell is the proclamation of the Truth in all realms.
This brass ghanta is 6 inches high.
